These terms govern your use of EvalQR. Here's the short version:
- What you can do: Create short links, QR codes, Link Hubs, and Micro Block Apps. Track analytics. Export your data.
- What you can't do: Spam, phishing, malware distribution, or anything illegal.
- Your data: You own it. We provide tools to manage and delete it.
- Our limits: Free tier has specific quotas. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using EvalQR ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
2. Your Account
2.1 Account Creation
- You must provide a valid email address
- You must be at least 13 years old
- One account per person (no duplicate accounts for extra free tier benefits)
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure
2.2 Account Security
You're responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us.
3. Free Tier Limits
Free accounts include:
- Unlimited short URLs & QR codes
- 5 tracked links with full analytics
- 6,000 scans per month (for tracked links)
- 3 Link Hubs
- 30 days of analytics history
- QR codes with watermark
Limits reset monthly. Exceeding limits pauses tracking until the next reset or you upgrade.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 You May Use EvalQR For:
- Shortening legitimate URLs for marketing, sharing, or tracking
- Creating QR codes for business cards, flyers, products, events
- Building Link Hubs as landing pages for your social profiles
- Collecting data via Micro Block Apps for surveys, feedback, field research
- Analyzing visitor engagement for your campaigns
4.2 You May NOT Use EvalQR For:
- Phishing: Links that impersonate other websites to steal credentials
- Malware: Links that distribute viruses, ransomware, or malicious software
- Spam: Mass unsolicited messaging or link distribution
- Illegal content: Links to content that violates laws (drugs, weapons, CSAM, etc.)
- Harassment: Links used to target, threaten, or harass individuals
- Fraud: Deceptive schemes, scams, or financial fraud
- Copyright infringement: Links to pirated content you don't have rights to share
- Abuse of service: Automated scraping, DDoS, or attempts to circumvent limits
Violations result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You own all content you create on EvalQR (links, QR codes, hubs, forms, analytics data). We don't claim ownership of your content.
5.2 License to Us
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.
5.3 Responsibility
You're responsible for the content you link to. We don't monitor every destination URL, but we will take action on reported violations.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Paid Plans
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
- Prices are displayed in INR (Indian Rupees) or your local currency
- Payments are processed securely via Razorpay
6.2 Cancellation
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds for unused time
- Your account reverts to free tier limits after cancellation
6.3 Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you're unsatisfied, provided you haven't extensively used the paid features. Contact us to request a refund.
7. Termination
7.1 By You
You can close your account anytime. Contact us to request permanent deletion of all your data.
7.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Use the Service for illegal purposes
- Abuse the Service (spam, scraping, circumventing limits)
- Don't pay for a paid subscription (after reasonable notice)
7.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your links stop redirecting, QR codes become invalid, and analytics data is deleted. We may retain some data as required by law.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but don't guarantee it. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
8.2 No Guarantee of Results
We provide analytics tools but don't guarantee specific business outcomes from using them.
8.3 Third-Party Links
We're not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of websites you link to through our Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EvalQR and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $50 USD for free users).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EvalQR and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Content you create or link to
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
